My Story: The Yo-yo Weight Game
Hello everyone. My name is Charm and this is my story. I’ve had many ups and downs in my life and the worst for me involved weight gain and loss. I’ve gone up and down with my weight and that’s definitely not good for me. I started playing the yo-yo game in college. I started gaining weight and wanted to lose. I didn’t care about doing it the healthy way.
I tried different types of quick weight loss diets. I tried Jenny Craig and that didn’t work out well. I spent a lot of money and lost 2 pounds in six months. I realized Jenny Craig was not right for me. I tried the Special K challenge. I did Slim Fast too. I lost a few pounds and would gain more back.
I didn’t know that a diet wasn’t going to work for weight loss and maintenance. I needed to have a lifestyle change. It’s taken me many years to realize that I need to make a long-term change in my life. I’m in a much better place now. I’m glad that I’ve made changes.
It’s been a long road but I needed to make up my mind to stop the dieting rollercoaster and try something new. I rarely have fried foods now and I’ve incorporated more fruit and vegetables into my diet. I’ve noticed a difference with how I look and how I feel as well. I don’t mind losing weight the slow and steady way. It’s the best way for success. It’s the healthiest way as well.
