The Importance of Getting Enough Sleep

Most people take this for granted but the truth is that getting enough sleep is extremely important. Sleep is when our bodies get rest. Without enough rest we risk the slowing down of reflexes similar to a person intoxicated.

I know that I personally have not gotten enough sleep lately. My mood has been changed. I’m a lot more impatient and cranky with people. I also find that I feel a little goofier than usual, almost like I have a bit of a buzz from drinking. I also noticed that I have to be very careful with driving because I don’t feel as sharp as I usually am. I also am finding that I am a bit more absent minded.

This can easily happen to someone when you consistently are not getting enough sleep. I have to say that I can’t wait to get my sleep routine back in order. Sleeping impacts weight loss as well. You are less likely to lose weight when you don’t get enough sleep at night. This affects metabolism in a negative way and reduces your focus.

Most Americans are not getting enough sleep so try to add an extra hour at night or add a nap. You will notice a difference immediately. I’ve been working to increase my sleeping time at night. I am noticing a huge difference when I don’t get that sleep. Sleep more at night and it will improve your day.
